We need WOOL and some helpers who are good at weaving.
Weaving will be one of our morning activities from 8.45am-9.15am *see previous blog post, and also as part of our Nature Inquiry Project time (Monday mornings, Wednesday mornings, Friday 1pm).
The Nature Project Group is learning about sustainability and alongside this we will be exploring how artists can use their creativity to create work that inspires and sends a message to the community.
We will be looking at the work of Andy Goldsworthy, Mike Tatton (whose sculptural work is hidden in the wetlands at Montalto Winery in Red Hill), Nils-Udo, and of course connect with the art program's exploration of John Wolseley. We will discuss yarn bombing and guerrilla gardening and other community movements that connect people and create a powerful impact. To begin our exploration of sustainability and art, we are going to try our hand at weaving.
Please let Simone know if you are able to help or bring in some wool. THANK YOU.
